1 lemon, sliced
1 apple, diced
1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
Ice cubes
Mint leaves, for garnish
Simple Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
Directions
-
In a large pitcher, combine the Le Grand Courtâge sparkling wine, orange juice, brandy, and simple syrup. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.
-
Add the sliced orange, lemon, diced apple, and mixed berries to the pitcher. Stir gently to incorporate the fruits.
-
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let the sangria chill for at least 1 hour so the flavors meld together.
-
When you’re ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the sparkling sangria over the ice, making sure to scoop some fruits into each glass.
-
Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint leaves.
-
Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. -
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
-
Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
-
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the simple syrup cool completely.
-
Transfer the simple syrup to a jar or bottle for storage. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks and used in other cocktails as well.
