Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each)
4 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions
-
In a small bowl, mix together paprika, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
-
Rub the salmon fillets with the spice mixture until they are evenly coated on both sides.
-
Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet or grill pan over high heat.
-
Add the vegetable oil and heat until it's shimmering.
-
Add the salmon fillets to the skillet or grill pan, skin side up.
-
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and crispy on the outside.
-
If you like your salmon cooked all the way through, you can cover the skillet or grill pan with a lid and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on each side.
-
Remove the salmon from the skillet or grill pan and let it rest for a few minutes.
-
Serve hot with your favorite vegetables, rice, or quinoa.
