Ingredients
2 cups old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 milk (dairy or plant-based)
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Ingredients
1/4 cup walnuts or almonds, chopped
Directions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
-
In a large bowl, combine the oats, dried cranberries, nuts (if using any), cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, maple syrup (or honey), egg, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla extract.
-
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
-
Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and the oatmeal is set.
-
Once baked, remove the oatmeal from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
-
You can also add a drizzle of maple syrup or a splash of milk for extra sweetness if desired.
