What’s the difference between Trebbiano and Ugni Blanc? Nothing really. From Picpoule to Mourvédre we will be pouring some of the most flavorful yet least known varietals in the world of wine. It’s a wonderful chance to expand your palate and maybe discover the secret ingredient in that blended red you love so much.

Winery of the Month ~ Chateau Ste Michelle
Washington State’s oldest winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle, was built on the 1912 estate owned by Seattle lumber baron Frederick Stimson. In 1967, American Wine Growers began a new line of premium vinifera wines called “Ste. Michelle Vintners” under the direction of legendary California winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff. The winery combines Old World winemaking tradition with New World innovation and is, arguably, best known for its award-winning Bordeaux varietals. Chateau Ste. Michelle is one of the few premium wineries in the world with two state-of-the-art wineries, one devoted to whites and another to reds. Our own Napa and Sonoma Valleys may get the lion’s share of accolades, but Washington state offers the same level of quality at affordable prices…consider it their version of a “stimulus package”.
Thursday, September 16th
$22.95 Per Person
Hot off the Gazette
Our super wine guru will be your guide to this month’s best picks from the Wine Gazette, a compendium of our wine staff’s choices for September. Both reds and whites, imported and domestic will be sampled.
Thursday, September 23rd

Chardonnay, The Other Burgundy
If ever there was a grape that has been poked and prodded into so many different flavors, it’s Chardonnay. From the popcorn butter fatness of some California styles to the crisp Australian unoaked versions, Chardonnay is both loved and despised by many wine drinkers. This evening, our wine specialists are here to tour you through the world of the grape once used for “spritzers” and restore the dignity of Chablis.
Thursday, September 30th $22.95 Per Person
Our Annual Oktoberfest Tasting
There are basically two families of beer. Ales that predominate much of western Europe and the craft beer industry, and Lagers the bare their roots in the heart of Germany and Czechoslovakia. Tonight’s tasting is dedicated to the annual celebration of the later. So come enjoy a crisp Pilsner and sweet Dopplebock with us this evening.

Pinot Noir may disagree with Cabernet being the “Roi des Vins” (king of wines), but this big, bold and bodacious red still sits atop his throne looking down at the rest of the other varietals. You be the judge if you agree or not.
