It’s strawberry season! Strawberries are naturally sweet and full of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants. Right now, organic strawberries are $3.99 each (save $2.00 each) at your local Bristol Farms.
These berries are easy to incorporate into any meal at any time of the day. The following five dishes will inspire you to start and end your day with strawberries.
Breakfast: Strawberry Smoothie
Blend strawberries, banana, yogurt, and milk (can substitute for almond or coconut). Protein powder optional. Once fully blended, add ice cubes and blend until smooth.
Lunch: Chicken & Strawberry Wrap
Add lettuce, shredded chicken, sliced strawberries, and avocados in a large tortilla. Roll and wrap, then cut in half.
Snack: Rice Cakes
Top two rice cakes with any nut butter and sliced strawberries.
Dinner: Spinach & Strawberry Salad
Combine spinach, sliced strawberries, walnuts, and goat cheese. Add protein of your choice: chicken, salmon, or tofu. Top with balsamic vinegar.
Dessert: Angel Food Cake
Cut a slice of angel food cake and top with sliced strawberries and fresh whipped cream.
